World Spine Day 2019
The theme for World Spine Day on October 16th is ‘Get Spine Active’ which highlights the importance of spinal health and wellbeing. Promotion of physical activity, good posture, responsible lifting and healthy working conditions helps to maintain flexibility and prevent back pain.
An estimated one billion people worldwide in all age groups from children to the elderly are suffering from back pain. It is the single biggest cause of disability on the planet, with one in four adults estimated to suffer from back pain during their lives.
Prevention is key and at Leckhampton Chiropractic Clinic, we encourage patients to move more by walking, limiting sitting to 30 minutes, swimming, Pilates, Yoga and daily stretching.
